Tamara Dews

Board Co-President

Tamara Dews has a deep passion for helping communities and businesses realize their fullest potential. She has successfully traversed the public and private sectors with a proven track record of delivering highly effective strategies for transformation initiatives, economic development projects, operational efficiency and investment planning.

Currently Tamara, serves as the Head of Business Management for Finance at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she is the right hand to the Group CFO and manages strategy and operations for the Finance organization. Prior to joining LSEG, Tamara served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Economic Development for the Governor of New York State where she bridged the knowledge gap between industry innovations and policymaking to drive economic growth. Tamara started her career at Sony Music Entertainment where she and her team managed music licensing deals in television, film and commercials to generate ancillary revenue for the business.

Tamara holds an Executive MBA from NYU Stern; a certificate from The Wharton School for Driving Strategic Innovation; and a BA from Mount Holyoke College. Tamara serves as a mentor to young professionals with Urban Synergy, Women’s Bond Club, and Women on the Wharf. She is also passionate about supporting MHC having served in various roles since graduating in 2006, including Vice President of the MHC Club of NYC; Young Alumnae Representative and Member of the MHC Alumnae Trustee Nominating for the Alumnae Board of Directors; and Co-President of the Class Board.

Maria Pencheva

Reunion Chair

Maria is a seasoned finance executive with 20 years of experience across investment banking, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of PSK Supermarkets, where she oversees financial strategy, planning, and reporting, ensuring the company’s long-term growth and operational efficiency.

Over her career, Maria has combined institutional experience with entrepreneurial leadership. She founded and led a financial advisory firm that advised business owners and management team members on Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) implementation, succession planning, and capital raising. Previously, Maria worked at CSG Partners and at the Leveraged Finance Team at Barclays Capital.

Maria remains actively engaged in her professional and alum communities. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Mount Holyoke Club of NYC in various capacities, including Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President of Programs, and Vice President. She also serves as President of the Board of Directors of Counseling In Schools, a nonprofit organization supporting the emotional and social well-being of over 7,000 students and families through more than 100 school programs and community shelters across NYC’s five boroughs.

Janelle Harper

Board Co-Vice President

Janelle Harper is a Bronx native who has dedicated her life to using her gifts and talents to serve the youth and her community. She comes from a long line of educators and spent nearly two decades teaching dance in New York City public schools. She is a respected and awarded leader within the field of dance education and served as a mentor, researcher, curriculum writer, facilitator and national presenter.

As a children’s book author, Janelle is passionate about representation and hopes to create stories that make children feel seen and fall more in love with themselves. Her debut picture book My Block Looks Like was published with Penguin Random House in 2024. Her second picture book Salon Saturday was released in 2025.

Janelle holds Masters in Dance Education from New York University, a K-12 teaching certification, a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Masters in Teacher Leadership from Mount Holyoke College. She is a proud 2006 alumnae and serves as the Class Board Co-Vice President. 

Janelle currently resides in New York City with her husband. 

Bridget Mahoney

Board Treasurer

Bridget Mahoney is a teacher for the New York City Department of Education, having worked in several schools and environments in the five boroughs since Fall 2006.  Specializing in Earth and Space Science, Bridget also teaches a social emotional health elective.  Math for America appointed Bridget a Master Teacher of Science since 2013, working with other Master Teachers to improve classroom experience. 

Bridget loves being involved with Mount Holyoke and the Alumnae Association, serving as class treasurer since before graduation.  Since graduation, Bridget has served as a member of the Classes & Reunions Committee, the Mount Holyoke Fund Committee, and the Nominating Committee, getting to know other alums and enthusiastically helping the college. Currently Bridget serves as the Treasurer of our Class of 2026 Board.

Bridget received her MSEd  from Hunter College in school counselling and her MA in Secondary Science Education from The City College of New York. She is a proud mother of two small children and several rescue animals.

Sarah Vieira

Sarah Vieira (Wefald) is a product leader and web creator who loves building digital experiences that bring people together. With a background in product management, website strategy, and hands-on site creation and management, she has spent her career turning ideas into thoughtful, user-friendly online experiences that balance creativity, organization, and real-world usability. She enjoys shaping everything from the big-picture vision to the details that make a site clear, engaging, and easy to navigate.

For this class reunion website, Sarah is excited to bring that same mix of strategy, storytelling, and hands-on web expertise to a project with a personal connection. She’s especially glad to help create an online space where classmates can reconnect, share memories, and stay informed about reunion plans. For her, the best websites do more than share information — they help build community, spark connection, and make people feel part of something special.

Annie Speedie

Annie Speedie (Brinkmann) lives just outside Baltimore with her husband and 4-year-old daughter. She is Deputy Director for the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC), which provides free legal help to thousands of low-income homeowners, tenants, consumers, and immigrants each year and supports pro bono activities across Maryland.

Annie is admitted to practice in D.C. and joined PBRC in 2011, shortly after graduating from The George Washington University Law School. Outside of work and keeping up with her daughter’s busy schedule, Annie enjoys trying new restaurants, sneaking in naps, and traveling.
Annie currently serves on the Class Board as the Co-Scribe.

Emily Giglierano

Board Co-Scribe

Emily Giglierano’s major MHC interests–literature, film, theater, and lurking on mhc.chat– are still going strong 20 years later. She works as Bookseller/Events Coordinator at The Astoria Bookshop, and as an occasional freelance editor (most recently: FEAR AND FURY by historian Heather Ann Thompson). She’s a longtime member of the nearby Museum of the Moving Image and an infrequent but enthusiastic theatergoer. And she’s met most of her neighbors in Sunnyside, Queens, through the local BuyNothing group and a “moms only” WhatsApp group. Her hobbies are reading and knitting.

Originally from Ohio, Emily moved to Queens in the fall of 2006 and has lived there ever since. Her husband, Sam, grew up in Western Mass and attended Oberlin. Their daughter Aeo was born in 2022.

She has served on Class Board as Co-Scribe since 2021.

Kristina Yucius

Board Nominating Committee Member

Kristina lives just outside Boston with her two dogs, a corgi and a mutt.  

She is a Senior Scientist in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with a focus in biology and preclinical drug development. She is highly detailed oriented with expertise in assay development. She has spent the majority of her career working on complement mediated diseases. 

In addition to her role as a scientist, she also established and leads a disability employee resource network, supporting her colleagues with disabilities to improve diversity, equity,  inclusion, and accessibility.

Kristina currently serves the Class Board as a Nominating Committee Member.
